Let your team know you appreciate hearing about challenges or issues that may be impacting on productivity as long as these complaints are accompanied by suggestions for improvement.

If a staff member has a genuine complaint, ask them to follow it with a clear request i.e. what do they want to happen now?
Tip 3
Check your behaviour. Do you complain about things in front of your staff? If you do, it’s time to stop so you can become a role model for your team.
